Have you been burned by Jeriaska? Thought you were friends, doing cool VGM-related stuff together, and then out of nowhere he ignores/blacklists you?

Well I dislike deleting and editing posts but have decided to effectively nip this thread in the bud.

If you have a complaint with someone in the community it is fair enough to mention it here.  Certain threads have brought to light shady dealings on eBay and the such, which I consider a service to the community.  But if it's reconciliation you're after, discussing problems regarding a particular person in detail in a public forum is not a likely way to gain it.  Especially with said member being a contributing member to said forums.

That said it's perfectly understandable that some of you want to discuss the issue.  I just recommend that you do so privately over e-mail.

Also I'll add that though I haven't been involved in the proceedings from this thread (now deleted) and can't comment on them either way, my own correspondence with Jeriaska has been amiable.

If those of you who had posts deleted need those posts for some reason, I can send you a saved copy via e-mail.

I'll leave the thread open in case there are any complaints about my deletions but for all practical purposes consider the thread closed

I'll just say that I think you made the wrong decision, but it's your boards and not mine, so I won't press it any further.

My communications with Jeriaska were always amiable too, until one day he decided to totally ignore me. Let me know when/if it happens to you...

Adam, I wanted to say that I understand and respect your decision. I still think this issue needs to go public, but I agree that SoundtrackCentral is perhaps not the place.

I agree with Ramza. If these boards are meant to be public, then people should be allowed (for the most part) to post what they want. Ramza's post was not malicious, nor did it have cursing or anything private/compromising on it, I see nothing wrong with it. In general, I'm against censorship, deliberate or unintentional.

Jeriaska sent an email to one of my superiors at RPGFan claiming I was leaving "unwelcome messages" on Nobuooo. The first of which was:

"hey, is your gmail down? I haven't heard from you in awhile. Can't wait to hear from you!"

And when he *deleted that* ... this thread is what spawned. And yes I have "spammed" Nobuooo since, to get the message out there that Jeriaska NEEDS to be confronted about his behavior.

Please don't delete this post, Adam. People need to know that Jeriaska is taking the same route with me that he took with Jayson, Chris, and probably many others. Ask yourself: are WE all rude, crazy people, or is there's something strange about this Jeriaska fellow?

Ramza, I understand you feel the need to discuss the topic with others and that your original purpose was to see if anyone has been in contact with Jeriaska but when the thread devolves into basically a multi-post criticism of a member of these forums I think it's in bad taste.

If you have an issue you feel needs to be resolved I want to allow you the chance to do so, but considering the limited number of people involved (mostly site editors) I think it's fair that any concerned individuals who've seen this post simply contact you directly.

If people want to discuss this publicly, please do so in the already existing thread here. I understand why Adam would be uncomfortable with this discussion here so it'd be more appropriate in a place where Jeriaska has had an impact. If Adam objects to me posting this link and deletes this post, that's fine too, but I definitely think this needs public exposure in a more appropriate place.

Deleted more posts.  As I have mentioned, I have left the thread intact in its early state so that interested or involved parties can settle the matter privately.

I myself have no involvement in this dispute and no inclination toward either side.  There is nothing personal in these deletions - any posts of such a personal and negative nature are open to similar treatment.

Going by the large number of posts that Jeriaska has ignored both here and on Nobuooo, maybe it's time to just let sleeping dogs lie and let it go.

Except fo the fact that Jeriaska made two posts, one directly in response to me (PROGRESS!), last night. Unhappy to see those go.

I'm sorry, this is perhaps less a "community" issue than I wanted to believe it was. My apologies for bringing this on you, Adam, and the other board members. The "drama" (or "issues" as I call it) moves to SEMO.
