Can anyone recommend a good online storage/file sharing service?  I'm thinking of hanging it up with Yahoo Briefcase once my term is up this year, provided I can find a viable alternative.  Preferably, I'm looking for a minimum of 10GB worth of space/bandwidth per month, and a 100MB capability per upload at least.

.... I think.  Truth be told, I've only ever used Briefcase, so I'm not quite certain what the general standard beyond that is.  All I know is that it just doesn't seem worth paying $35 per year for just 130MB of space and a 15MB cap per upload.  That, and people reminding me how slow their downloads have always been.

Any suggestions?

I'm happy to be your host if you want that. Bandwidth and space are no issue for me anymore. If you can use FTP, it should work fine.

Are you looking for something permanent or temporary? yousendit seems to be pretty good for temporary storage.

Thank you for the offer, Chris.  I wouldn't want to impede though, so allow me to explore all my options first before deciding.  Thanks!

Something more permanent, hence the online storage part of the inquiry.  I was just looking at 4shared.com's services.  Their Gold plan in particular looks like something that might suit me.  Maybe I'll try the free basic service first.

No need to pay for online storage/sharing these days - there are so many good free alternatives. And Mediafire is perhaps the best. Unlimited storage, upload, download and bandwidth for free, and no files will be deleted so long as you log in at least once every 60 days. The only problem might be the per-file size limit of 100 MB. Their 'pro' service fixes that though if you're willing to pay a few bucks a month.

Thanks for the suggestion!  I just gave Mediafire a try, and it works quite well - better than 4shared, certainly.
