STC no longer has a links section but I would like to provide a place to "share the love" and give exposure to the other soundtrack sites that are out there.

Posting guidelines:
-Only post to share a link.  No discussion in this particular thread - I want to keep it lean and mean.
-Post with the link and a short site description.  Keep the descriptions objective and avoid superlatives and the like.
-Feel free to share a link to a site that is not your own, but if you know that an active member of these forums is affiliated with that particular site then leave the posting to him or her.

Criteria for eligible sites:
-Overall focus on game soundtracks
-Not dedicated to a single publisher, series or artist
-Not focusing on torrents or downloads
-Not a retailer (there's a Marketplace Forum thread for that)

Let's see those links!

Soundtrack Central for game soundtrack reviews and discussion.

(Feel free to make the descriptions for further links a little livelier than that smile)

VGM Rush is almost like the IMDB of Western game composers.  It features composer profiles with biographies and credits, interviews, reviews, an album database, and other features.

Music4Games is more industry-centric with its composer interviews, industry news, and reviews of music and software.  It also focuses mainly on Western music, but has occasional Japanese coverage.

Oh and no retailers, please, since there's already a separate thread for that.  (Sorry, Alex.)

RPGFan Soundtracks -- over 1000 soundtrack reviews for RPGs. Complete with audio samples (currently RealAudio, will be switching to flash at some point), image scans, English tracklist, the whole nine yards (okay, we don't have individual track times listed...).

Chudah's Corner -- This database started as the personal VGM collection of "Chudah" (Lucy Rzesminski/Maser). Has a soundtrack database, reviews, English/Japanese song lyrics, a couple liner notes translations, and even some helpful reference tools for Japanese-language novices.

Original Sound Version -- "OSV" for short, Dale North's blog-style project to cover anything and everything "nerd music." Includes VGM, anime, some film score, demoscene/chiptunes, music production hardware/software, all kinds of fun stuff. Most of the work comes from "Arcubalis" (Jayson Napolitano), and it includes a monthly guest column from composer Norihiko Hibino (MGS, ZoE, etc)

Nobuooo -- a digg style site specific to VGM, led by "Jeriaska." If you like how digg works, and you like VGM, this is a good site to get into.

Square Enix Music Online provides information, news, reviews, downloads, and articles about Japanese game music from Square Enix and quite a bit beyond (Nintendo, Konami, Capcom, Basiscape, soon Falcom and Namco). It intends to complement VGM Rush by providing the most accurate and comprehensive composer profiles out there.

Also, if a link has been mentioned already please don't re-post it unless you think the previous description didn't suffice.  (Sorry Chris, I should have mentioned this earlier.)

I promise I'm being such an a$$ about pruning posts in this thread only smile

No problem Adam! Also, one I forgot:

Game-OST - A lot of the content is in Russian but there is an English section. They have a big database of album and composer information; though most of it is secondary information, it's well presented and thorough. There's also a lot of nice composer interviews, music news, and soundtrack reviews there. Popular site too by the looks of it.
