You know, I need to get a Record player that plays Vinyl.

I recently bought TooL's greatest album, Lateralus, and am itching to play it.

Not that I don't already have it in another handful of mediums, but, you know.

A portable turntable like the "Numark PT01" is a handy little player

I could sell you mine for $70 & Shipping if you're interested, since I've already recorded in the couple of VGM vinyls that I had bought it for, and no longer have any use for it.

Wait...I thought record players *do* play vinyl...that's why they're called "record" players, right? What kind do you have?

Hot Damn...

o_O

The iZilla can be powered by a standard 120VAC wall outlet, or runs off 16 D size batteries (not included).

Um... no rechargable Li-Ion battery?

No thanks! haha.

...also, they spelled Terabyte wrong. :\

Very clever idea though...

Wow... that's actually shockingly cheap for the specs. I want one!

But 16 D batteries? Yikes. neutral

The only upside of the 16 D batteries is that D batteries are readily available in many places.

Lithium-ion batteries have better energy storage and delivery capabilities but in the event the battery does go bad, those types of batteries are harder to replace unless it's a removable Lithium-Ion battery.

Yeah, but replacing one lithium-ion will not cost nearly as much as continually replacing 16 D batteries!  Personally though, I wonder who really needs such a monstrosity? smile  My mp3 player has a 4 Gig disk, and I have barely used up half the disk!  Although I realize some people have huge collections...

My mp3 player has 40 gigs and I've practically used up the entire thing. wink

But yeah, replacing 16 D batteries every few hours would certainly be a money-spender.

True, but I never really see manufacturers offer replacement Li-Ion batteries.  In the case of iPods, for example, you would have to have it serviced to get the battery replaced.
