Y'know what's bulls#17?! Printers!
ANYWAY,
My HP Officejet Pro K5400 just crapped out. And it's been less than a year since I got it! $200 for a printer that didn't even last me quite a year!
Y'see, I bought an expensive printer (granted, I probably could've bought something even more expensive) because I wanted something to print otherwise-professional full-page color photos. And for the most part, it worked. Until recently.
Stripes began to show up in the pictures, either faded lines of white, or stripes of a different color crossing over the picture at even intervals. I replaced the printer cartridge, and wiped off the printer/ink heads, and for the most part, problem solved; still had stripes, but at least now, they weren't so pronounced.
But then, a fatal paper jam comes along one day. I'm able to remove the paper, but the rollers get all messed up, so the paper doesn't feed through the rollers anymore; the software recognizes that a printing command has been sent, but the paper is not feeding!
Now, I've already tried taking this up with HP's tech support department, but no go. And as for an exchange or return? NO DEAL. They want me to pay even more $$$ just to get the thing fixed! What, $200 wasn't enough to get a functional printer that would last me more than a year?!
...
ANYWAY, perhaps you'd like to make recommendations as to what I could do with HP's tech support, about how I could get the printer returned, replaced, or fixed for no extra charge, or perhaps you'd like to make recommendations as to what other printers I could buy that would be good at making full-page color photos and actually last longer than a year, or perhaps you'd just like to relate your own tech problems with printers?
Go on, lemme hear 'em!
