Point #2 is the only real "WTF" line. So basically he wants us to struggle to learn the hardware for 10 years rather than write good games... And gamers wonder why the only things we get now are pretty graphics and rehashes XD

I would argue that learning the hardware is pivotal in making good games.

Part of me wanted to disagree on the basis that newcomers to the field have sometimes done terrific things for their games, but the more I think about it, how can it even happen without a roadmap (at least!) for the console?

What I meant was that by making the PS3's hardware difficult to use/learn they only burden its developers. We get more ballooning budgets with more (finacial) flops because they have to focus on how to get the game working and not on the game itself.
