Thought I would check and see what are people's favorite sites (other than STC of course smile
Here are some of mine:

http://www.cnn.com/ (I like to know what's happening in the world...well, sometimes)
http://cylinders.library.ucsb.edu/index.php (think I got this from someone here)!
http://integrals.wolfram.com/index.jsp (I don't use it so much these days, since I just run Mathematica off the workstations)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page (it's good, although of course be careful of all you read)!
http://xxx.lanl.gov/list/astro-ph/new (new papers in astrophysics, a must read...for those of us in astrophysics anyway)!

cheers,

I like to be updated everyday about videogames, so I mostly read vg news websites and other vg related websites.

In addition to reading up on the latest gaming news, I also like to delve into the past to see what I may have missed: http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/

All my other favorite websites have been mentioned already.

I usually check these on a daily basis:

SEMO (no surprise there...)
Kotaku
Yahoo (for the news)
CNN (also for the news)
Engrish.com (I love me some bad English)
STC

That's all I can think of at the moment. I"m sure there are others, but they are eluding me right now.

YouTube and LiveJournal.

Gonna stick with non-VGM stuff here...

Visit daily:
http://news.yahoo.com (I prefer to read AP stories over CNN's excessive dramatization)
http://www.digg.com (Great way to keep up with feature stories from around the web and non-headline news)

When killing time:
http://www.darkhorizons.com (Movie news and my most trusted review source)
http://www.joystiq.com (Though I rather despise the blog format)
http://www.salon.com (Good source for non-idiotic editorials)
http://www.slate.com (ditto)

I also prefer reading AP (Associated Press) articles as the main source for news.
