Braid (PC)

Maybe a DSi.  If so, it'll be my first Nintendo handheld since the first-generation Game Boy.

Amazingu Mar 31, 2009

Nothing probably, since finances won't allow for much.

If I can I'd like to get FFVII AC with the FFXIII demo though.

What!?  What is this?  I can't find much info on it online... is it the ost or an arranged album of some sort?  The latter would be awesome for AC.

Grim month for new stuff, it seems. Might look into Rhythm Heaven and Flock, but I'd rather have Samurai Shodown Anthology on PS2 than PSP or Wii. I'll import if I must but that's kind of a pain.
Not interested in a DSi at this point, mainly because I'm extremely reluctant to reward Nintendo for implementing region locks on DSi software. I wonder if NoA officials lay awake at night wondering how many copies of Tingle's Rupeeland were being played by North Americans, or how many Europeans are even now being exposed to a copy of No More Heroes teeped in blood. If I need another DS, it'll be another Lite.

Herrkotowski Mar 31, 2009

Let's see...mainly music, as always.

Star Ocean The Last Hope Arrange Album
Disgaea 3 Chapter of Razberil Original Soundtrack (someone got me this as a birthday present)
7th Dragon Original Soundtrack

And providing I'm able to get my Death Smiles Limited Edition preorder filled (it's in the air)...

Death Smiles Arrange Album

Not a whole lot on the horizon this month, it's true.  Rhythm Heaven is a gimme, but I'm wondering if I should give ExciteBots: Trick Racing a try.  I was never big on the Excitebike series (was more of a Motocross Maniacs gal), and I haven't even played Excite Truck yet -- but the prospect of a racing game that's not unlike "Uniracers, Wario Ware mixed with racing, and F-Zero" has intrigue written all over it.  I'd have to get the Wii Wheel though, huh?

I don't think there's any game purchases this month for me, but the second week of April has the release of an old anime show I loved as a kid - The Mysterious Cities of Gold come out on DVD.

Jodo Kast Apr 1, 2009

I've already pre-ordered these:

7th Dragon OST
Sonic and the Black Knight OST
Star Ocean 4 Arrange Album

I found the Star Ocean 4 OST to be quite drab, so I'm hoping the AST will solve my problem.

I guess I'll have to wait for someone to upload the Death Smiles AST.

Interesting. So it's an anime? I assumed it was a video game, because a guy that used to come here (Dark Fact) asked me if I had the OST. That was probably 7 years ago. (He was the guy that paid more than $1000 for Dracula New Classic from Cloud_V on ebay.)

It was a Japanese/French joint production back in the 80's.  I saw it on CBC French as a kid.  Didn't understand a word but it fascinated me with it's Mayan/Incan/Olmec themes and the mini-documentaries it had after the show.  Later on I managed to get some pretty crappy VHS copies of the english dub.  The music from this series is top-notch.

Not that I've got money for it, but if I spot Wavemaster's Daytona Boxset I'll probably have to buy it because stuff like that disappears fast.

Qui-Gon Joe: SVWC-7619, cdjapan says it's the OST for the Wii version game.

Paint me interested. I will definitely dip on this one. Since it's part of the "Sound Shock" series, here's hoping there will be an H. arrangement (they did a live version of "Let's Go Away"). It appears to be four discs, available from Sega Direct.

Got the PS2 version... so awesome smile
You're getting all 6 games, with some bonus features, and perfect arcade translation! I don't see how it's possible to complain! The game sells for $15, but even if it was $30, it would be so worth it!!

cheers,

edit: By the way, who here remembers Exosquad??

Holy crap. That's cool that you remember that show.

Edit: Anyone remember Night Hood and Legend of Calamity Jane? I'd love to see those get DVD releases. I remember them being really stylish TV shows.

For those planning on upgrading from the DS to a DSi, Gamecrazy's offering $60 and $90 as a trade-in for the original DS and Lite respectively.  From 4/5 to 4/12:

Not too shabby, and I'm halfway tempted to trade in one of my Lites.

You're hesitant to reward Nintendo of America, but not reluctant to support Monaural compilation discs?

(I know i've brought this subject up in the past so please forgive me, but i just couldn't resist asking).

For me, I've just preordered Rhythm Heaven. For some odd reason, it's called Rhythm Paradise in the UK and Europe (religious reasons perhaps?) and won't be out for another month or so so it's the US version for me.

As my 2 year-old has stolen and almost worn out my DS Lite with her Peppa Pig game (she brought it to me the other day and said, "It crashed". I was oddly proud.), I'm in the market for a new DS so I may be tempted by a DSi simply due to that needed upgrade.

Lolz

Ashley Winchester Apr 4, 2009

Comedian Jim Gaffigan had a new album, King Baby, come out and HammerFall has a new album which I'm listening to right now. First two songs didn't grab me... hopefully some of the others will.

Oh, and I wish to high heaven they'd quit covering lame ass songs for bonus tracks. Their cover of Kiss' "Detroit Rock City sucked," their cover Skid Row's "Youth Gone Wild" sucked and I'm sure their cover of "My Sharona" will suck once I reach the end of this disc.
