It's baseball season, so I'm definitely watching a lot of TV now. Big reason I consider baseball the best sport: There's so much of it during the season (as compared to football, where you're lucky if your favorite team plays 5 close games all year). I also watched the hell out of the winter olympics when they were on, mostly for the diversity in stuff that so rarely gets shown (w00t! Curling!)
Let's see...Wrestling seems to have gotten better recently, so I always tune in Monday, Friday and Saturday (TNA) nights. Still wouldn't waste money on a PPV though.
Not much else I watch: Cable TV is going to hell by the minute. A couple shows I watch reruns of: Futurama, Simpsons, Fresh Prince of Bel Air and sometimes Family Guy (I haven't been impressed at all by the majority of new episodes) and South Park (ditto, aside from the PSP and Wall Mart ones). The videogame-related shows on Spike TV (they follow TNA wrestling) are amusing enough to keep me watching.
Not much interesting anime is making the rounds either. Cartoon Network is gradually phasing it out, for more domestic stylings (or in the case of Miguzi replacing Toonami, shooting most of it dead in its' tracks). Adult Swim's line-up is an ever-changing joke (good luck trying to decipher their weeknight schedules) and seeing shows like Boondocks (which is more offensive for being non-funny in using racism than for actually using it) get prominent TV time strikes me as a waste of any momentum they've built up. It's just a shame that a lot of my favorites came from watching that network: Kenshin, Tenchi Universe, Sailor Moon, DBZ (well, a good chunk of it anyway), Yu Yu Hakusho, Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, Conan/Case Closed, some of the Gundam series' they've shown...Only things noteworthy anymore are Naruto, Samurai Champloo (which I'm pretty lukewarm on) and Full Metal Alchemist (ditto). Oh well...Gotta make room for all that low-budget domestic junk.
