So I went out on a date today for sushi (first time eating the stuff), and the girl expressed interest in seeing me again. That makes me happy beyond words by itself, but then later in an EB Games, I found a near mint, though slightly used copy of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne for not even $25. Atlus games being the expensive rarities they are, I was stoked about this.

I am shaking with joy right now. How was your day?

I wish I could find a decent copy of Xenosaga Episode I somewhere. I found a copy at my local EB for $5 but - and I'm probably the only one who is annoyed by this (see below) - decided against it because of the stupid way they put the price tags on used games in the PS2 used bins.

You stop getting my business when you put the damn price tag on the spine - not on the outside of the plastic cover like any sensable human being - but the actual cover insert itself. I don't want the insert to be sticky and stuck to the plastic cover. I'll go on the internet and pay a few times more for it if need be before I condone that crap.

Additionally, if you have the non-greatest hits version of the game out on display, don't try and pawn a greatest hits copy on me. No, I don't care if you got to relable another, greatest hits copy for display.

Anyway, sorry for derailing your thread here.

A lot less lucky.

It's been raining the whole damn day and I had to go to University through this kind of weather only to find out I was supposed to hold a presentation that I thought wasn't due until the end of this month.

Secondly, when I got home again and decided to kick back and start a brand new adventure in Fallout 3 now that I have purchased all DLC, it turns out there's a goddamn scratch on my DVD and the game crashes at the friggin' BIRTH SCENE.

HURRAH!

I did manage to grab a copy of FFVII AC plus the FFXIII demo for a decent price though, I guess that's something...

Ha.  I got into work today at 9am and will be leaving a Panasonic office from a teleconference with Japan at around 11pm tonight.  Oh, and in the meantime, my ex-girlfriend of 2.5 years will be moving the remains of her stuff out, after swooping in and taking our cats two days ago without giving me the option of seeing them again.

Lucky day!  At least in that the witch will be gone.

Good for you, man. I wish you the best of happiness!

I've made the decision to redefine my notion of the "day", which stems from my dichotomous interpretations of reality. The day is no longer what happens to me only when I am conscious; all unconscious experiences must be considered as well. Now that my dreams carry over into the conscious world, I can not regard them as fantasy. All of us know that the real world decants into dreams, but it also works the other way.

I had a dream in which I was specifically instructed to avoid a certain person. The warning was delivered by an actual human, not someone my mind invented, and it turned out to be useful advice. I can't thank her for providing me with the warning because she died 15 years ago.

'Grats on all counts, Brandy.

But now, for the most important question: How'd you like the sushi?? :D

I'm not the biggest advocate of seafood. My taste for the stuff lies in entirely the opposite direction of affection. However, with that said, it wasn't unbearable, and I ended up actually enjoying certain pieces. We ordered california rolls, and they were much to my dislike, but these other rolls weren't as aromatic, and as such, I was able to finish them without completely embarrassing myself. All told, sushi really isn't that bad, but it definitely feels like an acquired taste.

It's funny, for most of my childhood, I had always mistaken Korean gim-bahp for true, genuine sushi.  The reason being was because I had a Korean friend who insisted that's what it was, so I was lead to believe her myself.  It wasn't until years later when I visited my first sushi bar did I realize the difference.

And while I enjoy most types of sushi, gim-bahp still remains my favorite like-minded delicacy.  What threw me off with the gim-bahp is that some varieties actually are made with raw fish, and not just imitation crab meat -- so it could still be considered sushi in a very loose sense.
