Dare I may say it's a great time to be a PS3 owner?

That's right kiddies.  The next project from Team Ico and it's already looking to be as emotional as the last two.  I am so excited for this one!!

After viewing the trailer *spoiler* I like the idea of a Gryphon/mysterious beast in this one!  The buildings look similar to those found in Ico, and it's kind of nice to see other people than yourself.  It'll be very interesting to see how this one ties to the previous two (if at all).

Again, super excited!!

I never played Ico too, too much (I'd like to, though), but Shadow of the Colossus remains among my favorite PS2 titles. The game looks a bit lighter hearted than what I'm used to in a Team Ico game, but that ain't no bad thing. I'm really looking forward to this . . .

PS: Anyone feel like Shadow was a generation too early?

Yeah, this recent trailer looks very nice and the game looks to be super emotional! It's definitely on my "want list" for sure.

As for Shadow, I wouldn't be against a PS3 remake of it...

Apparently this footage is a year old so it's likely moved on considerably since then. It doesn't give much an impression of gameplay but it looks great to me. I love the animation on the rat-bird thing - his/her ear twitching is perfect. The kid looks odd and unfinished, quite likely given the age of the footage. Location looks very Ico, which I'm very happy about.

I adored Ico. Colossus, not as much but still certainly enjoyed. I'm hoping this is more like the former but, whatever it is, I'm looking forward to it.

Other than the star having to be a 10 year old kid (the default in Japan), it looked interesting.

Here's an idea: games implementing being able to the choose the age of your character.

Choose your player: Teen where the hero and crew are the typical 10-year olds.
Choose your player: Adult where the hero and characters can be 30-somethings.

Never played ICO but loved SotC so I look foward to it.

Ah yes... there's nothing like the love between a boy and his giant winged rat.
Sarcasm aside, it might end up being a great game. After watching the video, I have no clue what's it about. Ico was and still is an amazing game. This game definitely appears Icoish, although I'll take a radiant princess over a rodent any day smile

cheers,

Normally, I'd be against remakes of games barely five years old. But Shadow? I'd slap a benny down for that like you've never seen. Anyone else get the feeling that Shadow was a generation too early?

SotC had something that could have been improved on a later console (e.g. flamerate and level of detail), yet I don't think it should have been released a gen later. For instance, their attempts at HDR effects was visually quite impressive in 2005 but now is no longer special, if not obsolete. I honestly think Trico isn't particularly amazing in terms of graphic, as it looks like pretty much the same as SotC with the only difference (if ever) being the resolution that should be higher. As such, I could go so far as to say SotC is exactly the game that benefited from being released in the previous era (the same can be said for God Of War 2...).

A PS3 release wouldn't hurt though (Ueda once mentioned it, if I remember correctly).
