Nice, easy going month.  TMNT: Turtles In Time Re-Shelled on XBLA is a definite, though I wasn't completely sold on the import version of Dissidia Final Fantasy to consider picking up the U.S version.  Then again, the promise of streamlined tutorials and new cutscene and gameplay additions may convince me to give it another chance.

I've been listening to the Dodonpachi OST lately (I have Herrkotowski to thank for that), so the Dodonpachi DAI-OU-JOU Arrange Album is a possibility.  And I'm still pondering The Simpsons Complete 12th Season.  I haven't even picked up #11 yet.

I'll probably pick up MvC2 on PS3, at least. I'm torn on Metroid Prime Trilogy because I own all three yet haven't touched two of them, but I've lost my GC memory card and my interest in trying the Wii controls can't be denied. My sister will probably get Layton 2 so I can sponge off of her copy.
I should probably hold back a bit overall, I've gone crazy this summer (I probably still won't, alas).

Professor Layton and the Devil's Box for sure, and I think I'll go ahead and get Dissidia and the PSP-3000 pack (if it's offered here in Canada - I've called EB Games stores here in Edmonton a few times already and they don't know anything yet).

Wanderer Aug 1, 2009 (edited Aug 1, 2009)

This month, I'm playing catch-up.

Battlestar Galactica 4.5 (Blu-ray)
Star Trek Season 1 (Blu-ray)
Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 (DVD)
Lost Season 3 Soundtrack
Lost Season 4 Soundtrack

And maybe Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Is it the holiday season yet? I haven't played a new game in months!

Ah, I was under the impression that Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box was due out in September for the U.S. -- but it turns out that's for Europe.

I think that the DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou Arrange Album is the only thing for August...pretty sure...at least planned that is.

Managed to snag Soukaigi in awesome condition off of YJA and Muchi Muchi Pork last month.

Nothing game wise. Gotta save spending money for Germany!

Layton!!!!!

Amazingu Aug 3, 2009

Not much, maybe Magna Carta 2, although I didn't really like the first game all that much.

Turtles re-shelled is definitely high on my wanted-list, but I'm not sure if I'll be getting it on day one (bloody region-locked point cards)

Also, I'll be checking out Layton, just to see how they solved the localizing riddle this time.

My scheduled pickups include the following:

- Prof. Layton 2
- Dissidia.

...and my unscheduled pickup was this lovely item:

A freakin' english copy of Terranigma and the PAL SNES to play it on!!!  I'm unbelievably psyched, and can't wait to play through it!

Awesome pickups, both scheduled, and unscheduled. You have quite a lot of gaming pleasure to look forward to.

Terranigma is without a doubt the best SNES game the US never got.
Well, that, or Seiken Densetsu 3.

Looks like you'll be getting Star Ocean too?
Very nice!

Damnit, the Monster Hunter Concert DVD is only being bundled with the LE version of the Wii Game, and not sold seperately...  If my willpower dwindles, this LE box could be in my basket.

But with shops charging a Beefy Markup, (it's supposed to retail at $100, but the only 3 shops I've seen it at are charging $150 to $180), so I'm holding out due to sheer disgust for now.

You know, Carl, all you have to do is ask, man smile
I'm not gonna charge 50 bucks for shipping, and I can get it for less than retail price probably.
Just saw a whole bunch of them at the local Sofmap yesterday.

You're awesome Tim.  Although if I give it a few more days to think about it, my impulsive nature might subside and logic of may prevail... hmm.
Anyways, I'll email ya.
