I'm curious about it, but I haven't even checked out the last two PS3 games. Would you say Future and Quest For Booty are necessary endeavors before leaping into Time?
There's alot of backstory in ToD and QfB, but nothing that I'm sure a quick trip to wikipedia wouldn't correct. I'd totally recommend Tools of Destruction. Quest for Booty is hit or miss. It's basically ToD lite: missing alot of the weapons and continuing the story only so much. I think it took like 4 hours to complete. 0_o
Dr. Nefarious is the BEST Ratchet villain to date. I'm glad he's back!

The only reason for that, by the way, is Lawrence.
Been playing this non-stop this week and it's been a complete blast! Ratchet & Clank gaming at its finest. You can really appreciate the constant 60-fps rate, especially when things get hectic (as they always do) with the epic battles and frantic gunfights. As usual the weaponry is top-notch and a pleasure to level up. The little touches that Insomniac is known for are still there in spades. I love the movies explaining how to use the new weapons and the voice acting. Great stuff. This might be my favorite to date, had the second R&C not been such a non-stop orgy of greatness. I'd recommend this to anyone who owns a PS3.
Also, whoever's idea it was to have a jazz-ish radio station selectable for flying around the galaxy is a genius.
I played the two demos Sony put up. I enjoyed the Crank demo with the cool staff, but I hated the Ratchet demo. Don't think this one is for me.
I keep finding little things about the game that make me literally laugh out loud. For example, when you finally obtain the RYNO V, it plays the 1812 Overture as you're firing it. Hilarious!
