I'm a pretty big Jon Foreman fan. The frontman of Switchfoot...I think he's pretty cool.

Has anyone heard his four "seasons" EPs, or his collaboration with Sean Watkins (Nickelcreek) in "Fiction Family"?

Because I bought all of those albums. Haven't finished listening to them all yet. But I think I like this stuff.

The only song I'd known from any of this stuff beforehand was "My Love Goes Free," which plays as the end credits of the film "Bella." It's on one of the season EPs (I think "fall").

So...anyone? Any opinions here?

Not really a fan of Switchfoot but in regards to their frontman I have a lot more respect than I used to for a generic radio-pop-rock band.  I went to see a show which was Blue October headlining, Switchfoot and Ours opening.  I went to see Ours because they're the most incredible band ever and Jimmy Gnecco has a beautiful voice but I had to stay for Switchfoot and Blue OCtober because the party I was going to after wasn't starting til like midnight-ish.  When watching Switchfoot I was pretty impressed with how amicable and fan-friendly he was.  He had some girls come up on the stage that held up a sign saying they wanted to introduce the band and he let them come up and introduce them which was really cool.  He was taking cameras out of the front row of the crowd and taking video/photos of him on stage singing and then giving them back, which was equally cool.  And the most impressive thing was during one of his songs he actually took his mic and sang and walked through the crowd all the way to the back of the venue weaving in and out of people just being really friendly.  Overall it was a pretty wonderful experience, I wish more musicians were like that.  Definitely left a good impression on me even though I may not really like their music.
