A heads-up for those looking to buy "Up".  While Target is advertising the Blu-ray for $26.99 this week, people are reporting that it's actually ringing up $19.99 at the register.  I myself just purchased it, and it's definitely legit; the receipt states "BD Up - Saved $15.00 off $34.99).

For those who care about such things, Target also includes an exclusive 150 page "My Adventure Journal" pack-in as a bonus. (For the 2-Disc Deluxe and Blu-ray editions only.)

I went for the 4-disc copy of Up on Amazon for $19.99.  It comes with the blu-ray, DVD, and other stuff so I'm happy.

Joined in the online Cave Maturi craze for the first time, and it was a whirlwind of server down as I had always heard. Successfully ordered Mushihimesama Futari Original Soundtrack and Espgalude II Original Soundtrack, nonetheless. Actually, I'm pissed off about Cave charging about 1000 Yen for each purchase mad , but it seems quite lucky to get Espgaluda II since it sold out within the first 10 minutes (while Mushihimesama is still there). Gonna attend the upcoming offline Maturi next month and hopefully can pick up other missing releases and, if announced, deathsmiles II soundtrack (apparently the final update was released the other day and some music was added).

So you pay an extra 1000 Yen on top of each disc purchase? Sounds like a sweet deal to me; compared to paying deputy/YJA markup sad.

Let's add a METALLIC BLUE DSi to my November purchases now that a bundle containing it is finally confirmed for North America.  big_smile  big_smile  big_smile

damnit,, i envy you for having time to play new games.. i don't even have time to finish ones i started years ago.. I hate having to keep my GDMFing fedex day job in addition to our dollstore. the combined number of hours put every week is killing me,, i want to scream sometimes... instead i have to bide my time another year and a half until we buy a place in the AZ desert...

bought Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires on a whim. i think that's plenty for this month.

Warp speed to Amazon; they just dropped the price of Blu-ray Star Trek to $19.99.

A heads-up similar to "Up" from last week.  Looks like Target has yet again misprinted their advertisement of the Blu-ray edition of Star Trek.  $24.99 is what their circular states; $19.99 is the price ringing up at the store register.

Keep in mind that this is for the regular Blu-ray edition, and not the Target-exclusive USS Enterprise case one.

Blu-Rays are horribly overpriced, those should be normal prices at the most.

And I happened to find the canceled Mushihimesame Futari copy at a slightly cheaper price (7,820 Yen) and impulsively and kiddingly ordered it... if my order is fulfilled, I'm still happy, yet I think I have to give up FFXIII next month, or save big on food *shudder*

I eventually bought four soundtracks this month (three Cave albums and Persona 3 Portable).

New blu-ray releases maybe, but I've seen some movies as low as $10. "The Usual Suspects" and "Terminator 2" are worth that if you don't already have them.

Add "Goodfellas" to this list. On Black Friday I picked up a copy for my sister on my break at work since she has the one disc DVD version which makes you flip the DVD halfway through the movie. One word about that: lame. Really, what a way to take a person out of the movie. There is a two disc DVD version that solves this problem but with the price point and my sister's BF having a PS3 it seemed like a nice idea/upgrade.

Also, Wal Mart had some killer deals on Blu-Ray players, a Sony model for $118 and a Magnavox for $78. I was tempted, but since I still have a analog TV set it would have been a pointless purchase and new releases are still to expensive for my taste. Maybe when my current DVD Recorder bites the dust.
