Remember this?

I fully expected that link to take me to something related to Hiroshima. Am I an awful person? sad

oh man, I loved this song. EGM or GameInformer or one of those magazines put out a CD back in the mid-90s with lots of vids. One of them had this song on it with shots from some game (Wipeout?). That same disc, I think, had FFVII vids.

Yeah, Wipeout 2097 / Wipeout XL, the second game in the series. The "Atombomb" track is on the soundtrack in an instrumental form.

Been listening a lot lately to a rip of the Redbook audio from the game disc. Damn good and intense electronic music by the crème de la crème of the late 90s British dance music artists (Underworld, Fluke, Future Sound of London, The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, etc.)! And while I wasn't that fond of the Wipeout games (and don't like racing games in general), I must admit that one thing the Wipeout series really got down right were the aesthetics, both the visual and the music. It really gives off this super-cool futuristic vibe that fits the concept of the series like a glove.
