I'm interested in buying a digital camera this year for Black Friday, can anyone recommend a good one of the ones that are on sale this year?  There are a number of BF ad sites that have the info posted, it looks like there are a lot of 10 megapixel cameras on sale this year.  Looking for something I can use to take to local concerts and take pictures that come out better quality than my iPhone (which is pretty much any > 3 megapixel camera, or even < 3 megapixel considering iPhone doesn't have flash or any fancy adjustment options).

You can't really go wrong with Canon's ELPH series in my opinion. Not sure what the latest model(s) are though. Personally, I'm looking to upgrade to a DSLR and get a little more serious about photography.

Personally, I like the styling of the Panasonic Lumix cameras, and they seem to score pretty well too.

This is somewhat related, but since we're talking about cameras, why on earth did Nikon choose Ashton Kutcher to be in their commercials? I completely fail to see why he is anyone of importance; how he's made a "career" out of one or two one-shot roles is beyond me. Really wish he had faded away. This just in: Kutcher announces on twitter that he just farted. I feel relived, didn't know "the stars" farted.

I guess I should be impressed Nikon is trying to gear their commercials towards the American audience, unlike the car companies during the super bowl; why can't Japanese companies get it through their head when you spend that much money on a spot during the Super Bowl it better be funny. Yeah, I'm gonna remember the super-serious car ad.

Boy, that got sidetracked quickly.

I haven't seen many really compelling deals in the digital camera arena for Black Friday yet.  The camera I'd like to have is the Panasonic DMC-ZS3 (10mpx, 12x zoom, 3in LCD).  It's one of the best of the point-and-shoot variety and does everything extremely well.  I currently have their TZ1 and even for a years old camera, it's excellent.  If you want the ability to customize your pictures more, the Canon SX200 IS is another good one.  Both of those are in the $250-$300 range and could potentially be had for less on Black Friday.  Might be more about watching the online options at somewhere like techbargains.com than in a print catalog from a physical store.
