Anybody know of a good video converter application / program that I can use on my PC?
I especially want to be able to convert between MP4s and AVI. Namely, converting MP4 to AVI.

Myself, I'd love to know how to convert a DVD to AVI. That is, I put the DVD in, hit one button and it magically happens. Anything more complicated can swallow my titanic testicles. If it weren't for the region codes, then I'd cool. But, then again, if my aunt had had balls, then she would've been my uncle.

SUPER can do just about anything. I remember it being a pain to find the actual page to download it from, though. It seemed like I went in circles forever.

Epic win, x2.

Tried using it to convert from MP4 to AVI, didn't take...
I think they want you to pay for the program to use it...

I'm appalled! that is just so unethical for a software company...

Isn't that why they created P2P programs? Copyright laws be damned!

Hmm... for what I've used it for, it has done the job. I converted an Apple Quicktime video and a few Video CDs to MP4. My only problem with it is that it doesn't have an editor to let me trim the clips.

Yeah, except they make you think it's free, you open up the program, and THEN they tell you that you have to pay before you can use the damn thing...
If it's not free, don't tell me it is until I reach the point-of-no-return, as in, "Well, I wanna use the damn program, I've downloaded it already, and I'm desperate, so I'm going to pay anyway!"
Don't make people think your shit's free unless it is, dammit!
...
It just kind of makes you think, though, at this moment, in poor, distant countries, people are dying or otherwise being killed, and here I am, worried about recording and altering videos...
I oughta just go do something worthier with my time...
