I am totally excited.
I'll probably pick it up when my Edgeworth preorder comes in next week. I've bought a good number of roguelikes already out of sheer curiosity in the design, but thus far I'm not terribly good at them. Shiren on Wii allegedly has a gentler learning curve, so I'm looking forward to the point where I can make decent progress in one.

MUCH gentler. Compared to Shiren on DS, this game is hardly "rogue" at all. But it doesn't exactly lack challenge: they make up for the quick and dirty punishment of "death = DEATH" by giving you an optional 1000 floor dungeon.
This game is in the mail and will reach me soon. I'm psyched.
Was there ever a soundtrack released for this game...?
Unfortunately Bern, no. Not for the Wii version. There are two Shiren soundtracks in existence, and we have them both reviewed @ RPGFan soundtracks (look under "M" for Mystery Dungeon).
I had asked Atlus USA specifically if they would try to obtain rights to do a promotional release. But considering it's written by Koichi Sugiyama, Atlus staff already knew how just how monumental a task that would be to clear the rights and pay out the royalties. So it didn't happen.
The one soundtrack is a very old album that just covers the SNES release. The other is a Chunsoft 20th anniversary collection. It has Game Boy, SNES, N64, and other platforms with Shiren titles on it.
Hopefully, after Shiren 4 has been out in Japan for awhile, a Shiren 3+4 soundtrack package will be released.
EDIT -- review for game up on RPGFan. Finally.
