Thanks for posting this! It was indeed an interesting session. I didn't know that "Prelude" was thrown together in the very last stage of the production of Final Fantasy.

Thanks for those Ugly. What does the translator say at 03:55 on the first vid though? "The company is kinda ... my house" part. I quite can't make out this word.

Ramza Apr 9, 2010

He says the company is far from his house.

A "spun up" take of this fan Q&A will be on OSV this weekend, followed by a press interview next Tuesday. Talking with Uematsu was a very real treat. smile

heh thanks, so obvious I feel dumb for asking. I thought he was saying something else completely..

Nice, looking forward to read it.

Yeah, the team from SEMO also transcribed it here after the event:

Not word-for-word since the questions were in a very random order. Thought it would be better to rearrange and merge some to get the best effect.

Can't talk about The Last Story, huh? That's interesting. If he wasn't involved, couldn't he just say so outright?

If Uematsu has only a superficial involvement but is expected to look like the main composer for the promotional reason, that also may be the reason. Don't know. I have an impression that Eastern developers sometimes tend to hide composer information even if it seems to be pretty unnecessary for us, or don't think it ever matters and forget to announce it at the initial stages.

here's the OSV article. It comes with a lot of snarky spin and is more an "impressions from the panel" article with reports of some of the questions answered. SEMO's transcript is more complete if you want to check that out (Chris mentioned it above!).

Word.
