Is anyone else having trouble adding items to their lists on this site? For a few months searches didn't work at all, now they do but I have no clue how to add a damn thing to them now.

It's a huge pain in the ass now.  You have to get to the game in the objects list (not the actual game page) and then there should be a drop down in a tab above the title of the game where you can check a box next to a star.  You'll probably get a java error and nothing will actually happen, but if you go back to your wishlist, it should show up.  I have no idea how they screwed this up so badly.

I've been wondering what the hell was going on, but apparently it's IGN trying to "improve" things.

If you look at the very top of the Home page, there's a bunch of links to affiliated sites, among which is GameStats. You can use your IGN account to automatically create an account on GameStats, and your Game List will automatically be synched.
So now I use GameStats to add games to my IGN list, which is easier than what IGN itself is doing now (although admittedly not as easy as IGN USED to do it. Why fix what ain't broken!?)

Thanks for the tips. I really like the list format but I can't believe how badly they screwed it up.
