Now, try reading that, and tell me that he doesn't contradict himself a few million times.

He's worried about music being distributed digitally, because he's worried about illegal downloads, or not getting money for his music, but...he wants to give away free copies of his new album together with NEWSPAPERS?!

I really ought to stop reading celebrity news; it always pisses me off, and they're all probably hopped up on alcohol, drugs, and sex anyway... (-_-);

I liked it back when music was music, and not about the musician, or the person selling it...

Yeah, I read about this when it happened. Prince is hardly relevant (if at all) anymore, so the joke's on him.

The internet is over just because he says so, sure...

This ain't nothing more than a nicely done publicity stunt for Prince's* new album. I mean, how many of us would really even noticed Prince putting out a new album without this cry for attention how Internet is dead. But then, he might have some points in his silly rant, about how iTunes and other places don't give much of the profit to the artist. And the "All these computers and digital gadgets are no good. They just fill your head with numbers and that can't be good for you." which I at least read as kinda anti-technology message.

But then, Daily Mirror is a tabloid paper so I can't be bothered by it much or the news they try to shove into the world.

*if that is the moniker he is nowadays using.

I don't think any of us were alive at that time.
Nore were our parents or grandparents for that matter.

Yeah, I especially thought that was a poor argument.

Yeah, I'm kind of clairvoyant like that; I remember things that didn't even happen during my lifetime! big_smile

I remember the times of olde, when music was simply a guy playing a lute at the fountain plaza, or the traveling minstrels who performed at pubs and festivals...

These "digital gadgets" got under my skin yesterday. I'm sorry, I don't think texting is an appropriate way to tell me your mother passed away in her sleep the night before. Something of that gravity deserves at phone call at the bare minimum. Someone does that when I die I'm coming back to haunt them.

Additionally, what's the point of having a cell phone when you have it automatically go to voice mail and it's been full for the past three years? Wanted to express my condolences but no...
