Tracks 1,2,5,8,10 are good. I don't like the boring filler tracks, regardless of how "musically great" they are. Boring filler tracks, imho.

I've only heard a few songs, but what I heard reminded me of Undertow. It seems ok, but I'm not going to go out and buy it.
The packaging is absolutely the coolest of any Tool album to date.
I need to go outside and burn some ants with it. :v
What? Surely someone bought the actual CD...! *looks around*
Yeah, the packaging is neat. And I hardly care about packaging, but the whole stereoscopy thing is neat to look at.
f---ing awesome I held out for the release (we're not kindergarten kids are we? "MUMMY, I WANT MY TOOLY WOOLY WIGHT NOW!"). I like to savor and respect the moment for bands I love, especially when I KNOW I will like the album (and will therefore buy it nomatter what). Of course, it gets ripped straight to MP3 after the first listen, and then into my 20 gig sony ipod-killer. Then I listen to it on the way to work on full blast
As long as the album is, it seems shorter than it is because of all the ambient buildups. People are calling them "filler". I don't see them as filler... ONLY the last track is filler to me. The ambience and such were all part of songs, and merged into them... it was all quite smooth, but it does give the illusion that there's less actual "songs" on the album, so it kinda feels short.
One thing I noted about the album... I got heaps of flashbacks from previous albums with bits of riffs here and there, mainly from Aenima. Anyway, I'm loving it more with each listen, which is what happened with Lateralus. Time will tell how deep the appreciation for it will stretch, but this is pure quality once again from Tool.
The Marie 1+2 combo is especially beautiful... 10,000 days might be my favorite song on the album. The rockers on the album really do rock HARD though. It's a very engaging album.

No, if we were kids we'd be throwing around playground insults for no apparent reason, wouldn't we?

Don't we do that anyways?
Wow, you guys weren't kidding about the packaging. I just picked this up on the way home and the 3D is just lovely! Album seems pretty good too - not a fantastic first impression but I find I aways have to warm up to a Tool album and let it sink in for a while.
