The new ICO and Shadow games coming out for the PS3 are fully 3D compatible! I don't have a 3D TV, but I'm curious for those that do, are you happy you purchased it? Do you get much out of the 3D experience, or do you think you would have been happy with a 2D set? Is 3D here to stay, or just a fad? I personally think it's going to stay, since so much time and money has been put into the technology. We're definitely beyond the Virtual Boy stage!

3D is definitely here to stay but I personally stick with 2D hi-def because the glasses are too annoying.

I think it's a fad, at least until the technology improves to the point where your brain doesn't have to concentrate to produce the 3D effect.  If they can make the 3D effect feel as effortless as looking at actual three-dimensional objects, then it will finally catch on for good.

I have no idea where the trend is going to go, but I AM enjoying it.
Every time I switch on my 3DS (which is not often, unfortunately, but only due to a lack of good games so far), I really enjoy the effect and I'm continously impressed by it.

Don't have a 3D TV yet, but cautiously considering maybe purchasing one once more titles start supporting it. SotC and Uncharted 3 are definitely pushing me...

In every instance I've seen it used, 3D technology has done absolutely bugger all to add anything to the film or game. I usually just end up becoming aware of the technology, and it hurts the immersion factor. It's an expensive and needless fad that I hope goes the way of the dodo as soon as possible.
