The Rhythm Tengoku Wii soundtrack appears to be getting a fabulous release with Minna no Rhythm Tengoku Complete Music Collection.  At 177 tracks spanning four discs, we're not only getting every core song (including accompanying tutorial and intro BGMs), but also Perfect Versions for every stage level, and full-length versions of the five vocal tracks.  Check out the release pamphlet.

Mega Man's in a pretty bad way these days, but at least he'll have a presence with Udon's Mega Man Tribute art book.  As for the delayed-too-many-times-to-count Valkyria Chronicles Design Archive, well, maybe the stars will align properly this month.

I enjoyed Rio in theaters, so I'll probably give the Blu-ray a rental.  Ditto for the recent adaptation of Jane Eyre, which I missed the first time around.

Nothing video game or soundtrack purchase wise...

Loved Paul and Your Highness when it was in theaters so I'm picking these up on blu-ray this month.

Classic Doctor Who's out on DVD this month are the Tom Baker story "The Sun Makers" and Sylvester McCoy's "Paradise Towers".

The European version of XENOBLADE, B*TCHES!

Even though I've already finished the game twice, I'm PSYCHED to get into the EU version again, this time with the Classic Controller Pro that is included in the limited edition (which is already sold out, from what I heard).

Other than that?

Deus Ex
Bloodrayne: Betrayal
Kirby Mass Attack

all have my interest, but I'll see how well they're received before deciding to get them.
I'll also likely get SF3 Third Strike since it's the only SF game I haven't played yet.

Awesome, dude.
Just finished the EU version a couple of weeks ago, and I loved it.

Keep a look out for my name in the credits!

Forgot about this one - I'm reeaaaaalllly leaning towards maybe picking this one up.  I haven't really played Kirby since the original NES version but the videos make this one look very cute and fun with all the wee little Kirbys.  =p

EDIT - I was wondering about this again and checked on the release date - it's not out till Sept here but it is in Japan Aug 4.  Looks like I've got a bit of a wait to decide.

Probably just Deus Ex.

Nothing I'll be picking up in August gamewise unless one of my friends is successful in his yearly attempt to convince me to buy Madden (I told him not to hold his breath) or if La Mulana ever makes it to the U.S. WiiWare (I hear that German regulators are holding up the international releases).  There's also Third Strike Online, but I'm undecided on that right now since I already have two versions of Third Strike, it's one of the least accessible SF games, and my PS3 HDD is nearly full.

Musicwise, I'll probably get these:

LORD of VERMILION Re:2 FAN KIT
Minnna no Rhythm (Wii) Original Soundtrack
FIVE / Ayumi Hamasaki

This month looked a lot more interesting before all the 3DS stuff migrated. Anyway.

El Shaddai, NMH Paradise, Breath of Fire 4 off of PSN and Xenoblade Chronicles on import. Oh, and it'd be nice to finally get Radiant Silvergun and Guardian Heroes already, Microsoft. What's the damned hold-up? At one point I would've been more excited for SF3 HD, but right now I'm not in much of a Street Fightin' mood.

Beyond that, Angela's post reminded me that the MM artbook never arrived; I certainly hope that doesn't get ashcanned as well.

That sounds interesting, in what capacity?

Hey Enterbrain, where's our Valkyria Chronicles art book already?

A heads-up, it looks like they've finally set a concrete release date: January 20, 2010.  Now titled "Development Artworks", the final page tally weighs in at 400, size A4.  Play Asia's currently taking preorders, but at a costly premium of $81 USD. ($65.90 + $14.90 shipping.)

Unfortunately, that Valkyria Chronicles: Design Archives art book that was supposed to see release on the 8th just got pushed back all the way to July.

There's also that rather enticing Valkryia Chronicles artbook to look into. A good month, overall.

Delays for this one have been so frequent, that I refuse to believe it even exists until it's actually in my hands.

So long in its coming that I'm still in disbelief of its physical manifestation on my desk right now.  And yet:

And now that I've been able to sit down and peruse this tome of a book, I can see where all that time went into.  There's such an impressively massive wealth of information on just about every aspect of the game's design (now in full English text), that I'm surprised it ONLY took 'em a year to put it all together.  This one's gonna take more than a couple of extended reading sessions to get through.  Can't wait!
