The holiday gaming rush begins, but I'm really only looking forward to one title.  It's the one with the dude sporting a black cape and cowl, kicking all manner of ass in a city named Arkham.

Nothing on the soundtrack front, but I did spend a small fortune on new Blu-rays released this week.  These include Fast Five, Pulp Fiction, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King.  I'm especially looking forward to watching Pulp Fiction again.

And then there's this.  For fans, this truly does look to be the be-all 'Making of' book for the cinematic franchise.

Yeah, I had this whole image of "Oh man, everything is going to kick off in October!", and then I realized there's only 2 games I'm actually interested in (November on the other hand...): Arkham City and That New Kirby Game I keep forgetting the title of.

Both are day 1 pick-ups, but that's really about it, this month.
I was looking forward to King of Fighters XIII, and it's still releasing in October in Japan technically speaking, but I want the English version (since, you know, I localized it), so I'm gonna have to wait 1 more month. With any luck SNK might send us a free copy, though.

Whether I'll be able to grab all of them remains to be seen - there's a very real possibility that I'll have to put in $100 or more on a hotel room next month to attend my niece's wedding, all because his family doesn't want children - like my sister's four - at the reception. Her younger sisters are welcome, because they're part of the ceremony, but her cousins? No. Yeah, I'm a little bitter, especially about the hundred.

Do soundtracks go here too? I already preordered the Sonic 1&2 ost, so just a few more weeks...

Ace Combat Assault Horizon

I played the demo, and the helicopter mission sucked.

While I picked up Mass Attack I probably won't be buying Return to Dreamland.

The only game on my horizon this month will be the Professor Layton one.

And the only DVD I'm getting is the Doctor Who special edition (revisitation) of the Tom Baker classic "The Talons of Weng-Chiang".

I have Aliens Infestation. It's not great. It's not bad. Just not great.

Going for one of those new bog-standard Kindles this month and that's really it. Job security is pretty shaky to say the least right now (just like most people I guess) so that's my only big splurge this month.
