So Nintendo has offered something other than the name "Wii" for people to complain about. I've not tried DS online, so I know nothing about it. Who here has tried DS Wi-Fi and who thinks this was a bad choice by Nintendo?

I don't really understand what the complaints are about the DS WiFi service. Granted, please read anything I say about internet gaming with the knowledge that I absolutely despise playing with random morons on the internet. I honestly enjoy the fact that I don't have to listen to them talk at me in Mario Kart and much prefer to play games with people I know and like anyway.
Nintendo does online without copying XBox Live, maybe that's why Microsoft likes them so much to let Rare continue working on games for Nintendo portables...

Yes, it's a bad choice. Friend codes are idiotic and I see no reason why Nintendo can't create a unified online lobby system.
