Continuing the trend set forth in 2009 and 2010, what are your favorite, standout, and/or most listened to video game music tracks released in 2011?  They can be from official original or arranged soundtracks, fan-made contributions, or games that never even got an album release.

Likewise, if you've developed a liking for any VGM tracks released BEFORE 2011, feel free to add them in as well.  Mix and match however you please, but do differentiate if a particular track came out before '11.  And, while it isn't necessary, do try and supply music links whenever possible.  Share the love, yeah?

As in 2010, I'm capping off with a top 20 model for my 2011-released picks.  Gonna forgo a pre-2011 listing, since I haven't been listening to much older stuff as of late.

Pretty much this.

Yes, Deus Ex: Human Revolution has an amazing soundtrack, but this fan-made song is better than most official material. Deal with it.

'Different Perspectives' and "Take Me To Hell (Broken Dreams)' from Shadows of the Damned are in my top song list for 2011.

edit: I mean songs as in music with vocals in it. These are certainly not the best tracks I've heard in 2011.

Wow is it almost March already?  Better post these before we're doing our 2012 lists.

The Very Best VGM of 2011

Final Fantasy Distant Worlds - Returning Home: "Answers"
SQ Chips: "Final Fantasy IV-V-VI Ending Medley"

Two completely different yet equally incredible tracks.  "Answers" is original, epic, and I'd say the most creative work to originate from Nobuo Uematsu in quite a long time.  Give additional credit to the arrangers of the Distant Worlds version for an orchestral version far superior to the original, not to mention of course Susan Calloway for her inspired vocal performance (which again, completely tops the original).

For "Final Fantasy IV-V-VI Ending Medley" I can't help but go back to the word "euphoric".  There's plenty of fun, energetic, exciting VGM out there but the hyperactive yet immensely melodic synth and arrangement of this piece brings out pure joy.  One classic, uplifting theme after another and the transitions that join them are even better.

Spectacular Runners-up

Symphonic Odysseys: "Concerto for piano and orchestra Final Fantasy - II. Adagio Cantabile"
Final Fantasy Distant Worlds - Returning Home: "Navigator's Glory"
Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Special Orchestra CD: "The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Medley" and "Twilight Princess Symphonic Movement" and "Ballad of the Goddess"
Myth: The Xenogears Orchestral Album: "Bonds of Sea and Flame"
We Are Rock-Men!: "Darkman Stage (Side-R)"
Sonic the Hedgehog 1&2 OST: "Emerald Hill Zone"

Very Honorable Mentions

Ni no Kuni OST: "Field"
SQ Chips: "Aeris' Theme"
Sonic the Hedgehog: The Sound of Speed: "Spring Junkie" and "Clockwork Criminal"

...along with the other two Final Fantasy movements from Symphonic Odysseys and lots of other great tracks from SQ Chips, Xenogears Myth, Sonic 1&2 OST, and Distant Worlds Returning Home.

Good choices, guys!

I'm adding an unofficial #21 to my top twenty list.  Can't believe I forgot about this track, considering how much I gushed about it in this thread.  Just one hell of an amazing medley.

21) Dissidia 012 [duodecim] Final Fantasy / Ending
