Angela Feb 1, 2012 (edited Feb 1, 2012)

No sooner did Silva Screen announce the Series One soundtrack, they've gone ahead and announced Sherlock - Original Television Soundtrack Music From Series Two.  I'm positively thrilled I'll be getting my favorite musical cue in the form of track 7.

Despite people believing Xenoblade to be the last great hurrah for the Wii here in the U.S., my anticipation is ten times greater for Rhythm Heaven Fever.  And judging by recent preview videos and commercials, the localization looks to be a nominal step up from Rhythm Heaven DS.  I loved what I played of the demo, so Resident Evil: Revelations is a given.  I might opt out of the Circle Pad Pro for the time being, since I don't want to give up using my Nyko battery PowerPak+ (which I'm almost certain is incompatible with the thing).  Still, freely aiming AND moving around at the same time seems mighty appealing -- something I hear can't be done without the added circle pad.  Hm.

Also, The Simpsons Arcade Game is, at long last, hitting home for XBLA and PSN! (If anyone's up for co-op play, I call Marge!)

I've got:

Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai! S Original Soundtrack (Totally missed the announcement on this, Basiscape? Yes please!)
30th Anniversary ETERNAL EDITION PREMIUM: Space Battleship Yamato CD Box (Amazing orchestra music, just found out about this recently)
Piano Opera Final Fantasy I/II/III (Not sure how this will turn out, but Piano = yes!)

... and, naturally, the two Joe Hisaishi releases that are coming out in February:

Saka no Ue no Kumo Soundtrack Compilation (Hoping this isn't just a straight compilation and has at least one or two new tracks)
Vermeer & Escher (Excited to hear the interpretations)

Rhythm Heaven Fever is a definite while Resident Evil Revelations is just a maybe at this point.  I enjoyed the demo, but I might be better off waiting for one of those "buy 1 get 1 half-off" 3DS game sales that happen all the time, especially since there's zero chance I'd be sitting down to actually play RER anytime soon.

Also, these CDs:

-Piano Opera Final Fantasy I/II/III
-Pachislot Akumajo Dracula III Original Soundtrack

I was very positively surprised by the Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demo last month, so I'll probably be getting that soon, if I can tear myself away from Skyrim.

And yes, the Simpsons Arcade Game is a no-brainer too.

No much else this month, though, which is good as far as I'm concerned.

Just some albums:
Photokano Original Soundtrack (Noriyuki Iwadare's latest approach on a dating sim)
Biohazard Revelations Original Soundtrack (I don't really know what's awaiting me here *g*)
Piano Opera Final Fantasy I/II/III (new FF piano arrangements? yes, please!!)

I will also be buying that. It's about time those games got the piano solo treatment that virtually the rest of the series got. (now we just need FFXII Piano ... and I *guess* XIV someday...)

I'll also be buying Kingdoms of Amalur and FFXIII-2 after next paycheck.

Season 2 of Rocko's Modern Life was released on the 7th so I nabbed it. I can't say the first season really won me over when I got it (it's still a good cartoon but current realities can't match my memories) but it's easily worth what they were asking.

However, when it comes to the DVDs gracing my DVD player The Big Bang Theory pretty much has a total monopoly right now. Especially seasons one and four.

Well, I bought Amalur and just sold it off in less than a week.
Boring.

Went back to Skyrim, which is still awesome.

I also used my PS+ account, recently automatically extended without my permission (thanks, Sony!) to download the Simpsons Arcade Game, and I'm kinda glad I didn't blow 10 bucks on that.
It's still kinda decent, but $10 is way too much for such a short nostalgia trip.

So yeah, February kinda sucks so far, but I'll probably be getting Theathrythm this Thursday, so we'll see how that works out.

I haven't bought any VGM in a long time, but if that FF I/II/III Piano Opera sounds as good as a whole as the samples do on the site, I may have to pick it up. Man, that battle medley sample is awesome!
