I've been wondering these days what the first video game was to feature any original compositions performed by a full orchestra.  If there was a PC game to do so sooner I'd love to know that one as well.


Panzer Dragoon is the earliest I can think of for video games unless PC Engine CD or Sega CD had something sooner.  I never kept up enough with PC games to have any idea for that one.

If you go by recording date, probably Heart of Darkness...but the game was delayed for years and came out after Lost World (which is usually cited as the first.....wrong of course. Perhaps it's the first to use one for the entire OST though).

I doubt there was any before Panzer Dragoon.
