Super disappointed that David Arnold isn't returning to score this film. Despite that, the trailer looks interesting and I'm still excited to see it! It's also an excuse to pony up for IMAX tickets. This might be overly optimistic, but I'm hoping they'll introduce Q and continue to expand Quantum. Guess I'll have to wait and see!

Yeah, I'm also bummed about Arnold's absence from Skyfall. Hopefully Newman will do a decent job. Q is coming back in the form of Ben Whishaw (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0924210/) who was in Layer Cake with Daniel Craig. As for Quantum, I hope we never see it again since (a) the last movie was lousy and (b) Bond movies are their best when they have a single megalomanical villian acting on his/her own and not a silly league of evil like SPECTRE or QUANTUM.
Nice! Definitely looking forward to Q then. It'll be interesting to see how they develop that character. Especially with the more "serious" nature of the recent Daniel Craig films.
Aw, I really like SPECTRE / Quantum. They spent two films developing it and it still has a lot of potential. I think it would be a waste to throw in the towel now. I wouldn't mind taking a break from that story-arch though. Maybe do a standalone film (Skyfall) and then two more about Quantum.
My only complaint with Quantum of Solace was Marc Forster. I loved Finding Neverland, but nothing else he's done has caught my eye. Not to mention he was a terrible choice for a Bond film. Still not sure what they were thinking. Quantum would have been perfect if it had been competently directed and edited. Instead it just sort of floundered underneath the masterpiece of Casino Royale.
Has there been any word on the theme song for Skyfall? Quantum's "Another Way to Die" was a big letdown and I'm hoping for something decent this time. Also wondering about the title sequence. Forster f'd that up last time as well by bringing in MK12. It wasn't a bad title sequence, but it wasn't up to the same quality as Kleinman and Binder's work.

They haven't announced anything yet, but I will be shocked if anyone other than Adele does it. Shirley Bassey defined what Bond themes should sound like, and Adele is more or less a modern Shirley Bassey.
Adele does seem like a solid choice. She fits the musical aesthetic and has a great voice. I'm not sure I trust her as a songwriter though. Maybe they'll bring in an outside producer or two? It would be best if Thomas Newman was involved, but that tends to be the exception as opposed to the rule. Oh well!
As part of the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Bond franchise, I went to a screening of Dr. No tonight. The digital remaster looked great for a 50-year old film, and I walked away with some sweet prizes. In addition to the film, my $7 ticket got me a neat anniversary poster (http://www.allposters.com/-sp/James-Bon … 59933_.htm) and I won a copy of the Bond 50 Blu-Ray set (http://www.amazon.com/Bond-50-Complete- … ds=bond+50). Not bad for $7, huh?
you lucky sob arggggg. I wish Canada had these types of things. I guess we're still too backwater?
The funny thing is that I had already ordered the set from Amazon, so now I have two of them. I suppose I could just return the Amazon one, but then I'd have to give back the book that comes with the Amazon version as well. I guess I could try to sell one, give one to my gf, try to return one for store credit at a local store, or possibly do a Twitter giveaway. It's not a bad problem to have.
