not familiar w/ different region encoding for video games and PC games. will PC games from UK (United Kingdom) run on U.S. computers? where a good place to look this up? not stated on info pages for games in question. found this on Wiki, not about PC games tho: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Region_encoding

CD doesn't support region encoding, it's only Blurays and DVDs.  The only thing limiting the installation of a foreign game would be your operating system but that's typically only a problem with games from non-US locales like Asia, Russia, Middle East.

Yes.  Even if the game was on a DVD it would still work.  Region protection is only for video playback, I don't think it applies to standard data discs.
