Custom Robo Intro FMV

This is my favorite cutscene right now. It's got me obsessed with the idea of a FPS Custom Robo game. The intro makes the game look sicker than it possibly could be. It's got shiny lasers and dark corridors. It's great.

No More Heroes Stage 1 Intro

I wish they just started the game right here instead of the 2 minute stupid story explanation. This is probably the most entertaining cutscene this gen as it's just like those Contra game burst onto the scene intros.

God Hand cutscene

I think this is the best one from the game.

So that's my number 1 right now. I'll add a couple more later on. What are your favorite cutscenes?

Vagrant Story and FFVIII had sexy as hell intros.

FFIX, in the airship after the village of Dahli section, where Vivi squares off against the Black Waltz was awe-inspiring and heartwrenching. For a character as facially void of any discernable emotion, they wrung a lot of development out of him when Black Waltz nuked the f--- out of the other black mages. The resulting firefight lasted, like, a second, but goddamn..

Shadow Hearts: Covenant, with it's melancholy ending song Getsurenka, had a haunting ending video, showing the characters of the game off in a kind of epilogue cut between footage of vocalist Mio Isayama singing the tune. Watching it makes me choke back tears every time; there hasn't been a jrpg that has affected me as much since this game. What a bittersweet ending Covenant had.

Covenant also had a few more FMVs which were splendid, as I recall. I greatly enjoyed playing that game.

I love FFX's ending FMV. Very classy, great music, makes me cry every time. Same with FFIX's ending, come to think of it.

I can't think of that many cutscenes I appreciated this generation. Most of them were very pretty but with little substance.

That's my two cents. I've played hundreds of games but I'd have to really dig hard to remember all my favorites.
