Biggest load of bull I have read in a while. So basically, our politicians got enough money from someone, and then "decided" that chickens from China are safe. I mean, forget all those stories you read about people dying from Chinese foods, not to mention all the pollution and lack of regulation. Nope, that don't apply here!

"Imported Chinese apple juice reportedly contains three times the federal limit for arsenic in water."

But hey, our fearless leaders won't have to drink nor eat this stuff, so why not feed it to the plebeians they undoubtedly think.

This sentence really says it all... but I find it even more ironic when you apply it to healthcare.

being self-employed, ive been buying private insurance for years.
last week shana & I received letters from BlueCrossBlueShield AZ that our policies are being discontinued.
of course they welcomed us to sign up for one of their 2014 policies.

at the beginning of this year we each had a $1750 annual deductible with 100% coverage thereafter. in july this was watered down to $2000 deductible with only 90% coverage (and the premium also increased another $40/month)

the cheapest 2014 plan available is ANOTHER $20 more a month,, and the deductible rockets to $6000 (for EACH OF US) followed by only 80% coverage. so basically at the very minimum we would have to each pay almost $9k a year (premiums + deductible) before BCBS pays out a penny.

and obamacare is supposed to be financial fluid because people in their 20s will sign up to buy insurance? f--- that. i'm 39 and considering just dropping next year and paying the fine. I haven't so much as even gone to a doctor since i pulled my back and needed a chiropractor in 2009 (maybe it was even 2008, but either way it's been a long time)

It feels good for politicians to promise their constituents a better life by paying for it with other peoples' money.  On topic, I agree this is only being done to please the Chinese enough to keep buying our never-ending debt.  For that reason, the FDA will turn a blind eye and food safety is going to suffer the consequences.
