So 3 side-games were announced.

"PersonaQ" is a 3DS dungeon crawler from the Sekaiju no MeiQ (Etrian Odyssey) team using P3 and P4 characters.

"Persona 4: Dancing All Night" is a rhythm/dancing game for Vita.

"Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold" (or ... P4U2 or P4 Arena 2) is the sequel to the Atlus/Aksys fighting game. More characters.

And then finally, they teased P5 and announced it would be a PS3 game coming to Japan in Winter 2014. "Your are slave. Want emancipation?" Is the tagline, and it shows images of five empty chairs with ball-in-chain cuffed to the leg of each chair.

All four game trailers name Shoji Meguro as lead sound composer. For the first 3 there will (obviously) be a ton of re-used and re-arranged music. P5 will, likely, sport all new music. It'll be interesting to see if Meguro holds the lead for P5, or if he will continue to work alongside Atsushi Kitajoh and others. (personally I like Kitajoh's work a lot).

Also, P5 ... it's about time. I'm ready.

I so want that Persona Q now, just because of the possibility of playing with both P3 & P4 MC's on same team and Kanji and Junpei. And because if feels like it's Persona the Etrian Odyssey

And P5, pretty sure us europeans will get it something like winter 2015 or some other typical slowness for Atlus games

Not really a fan of the Persona series but I'm glad to see they've announced P5... it was getting a little ridiculous.

It seems that I was utterly, utterly wrong.  I do so love being wrong.  Idolores, on the other hand...

Since nothing has been revealed of Persona 5 yet, what I'm most excited for at the moment is the home release of Suplex-whatever.  I expect another visual novel-style story, presumably the one hinted at at the end of Arena.  And I'm thrilled that my two favorite characters from Persona 3 are back, although it'll be hard to take Yukari seriously in that Featherman R getup.

That sounds like good news from a music perspective. Both Persona 4 and P4 Arena were pleasant soundtrack surprises (I gave up on the series for awhile after Persona 3's music), so sequels to both is good news. And Etrian Odyssey has always been solid (if predictable) music-wise, so that should be a good mix.

My friends are more into the anime fighters than I am, so I expect to see some face time with Arena 2 the game.

I just realized that we might get Koshiro doing something for Persona Q, perhaps alongside Meguro and remixing familiar P3/4 tunes.

I think the trailer specifically names Meguro for Persona Q. But if Koshiro gets involved, that would be A-MAZ-ING. Koshiro + Meguro needs to happen.
