Dark Horizons has a nice summary of the video game and movie deals for the first day of Black Fridays deals week at Amazon.  Django Unchained for $10, Life of Pi for $9 and From Up on Poppy Hill for $12 are too good for me to pass up.

I'm also in the market for a 32" TV and a 9-10" tablet so if anybody happens to see any good deals for recommended models floating about - or any other recommended deals for that matter - please post. smile

Best Buy for tablets has the iPad 2 with WiFi for $299 ($100 off), and the Galaxy Note 10.1 for $399 ($100 off plus get a $10 gift card). They also have a 32" Samsung LED TV for $277 ($100 off). Newegg.com has the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 for $299 ($100 off) and a code for another $10 off.

Not sure how good the deals are other than what they say it is off the regular price, but the best buy ad is up at http://blackfriday.bestbuy.com/#!/doorbusters if you want to look... I certainly wouldn't want to actually go there on black friday though =P

FYE at the my local mall had some good deals... especially considering they usually charge an arm and leg for everything. All volumes of American Dad were on sale for $10 a piece so I picked up two of them. I just wish I knew what season the "Ricky Spanish" episode is from - love that one for some reason - but I really like the rapture episode which I know I got.

Went into work and I have to admit that I was stunned by how many 2DS's we had left considering they were down to $99.

Additionally, I was kind of irked by the price of Lego City: The Chase Begins on the 3DS. It was only $5 below it's current retail price of $30 but the thing has been out forever compared to Batman Origins which was about $25 dollars less than it's retail price. There was a pretty price drop on The Chase Begins after the reviews hit which lead me to believe something was really up with it.

I picked up Last of Us (PS3) for $25, Dishonored GOTY (360) for $20, and two 1yr. PS+ subs for $30 each. I was also looking to grab Rayman Legends for $25, but I goofed and missed it.

I ended up getting The Last of Us ($25), GTA5 for 360 ($34), Bioshock Infinite for 360 ($20), Rayman Legends for Wii U ($25), Tales of Xillia ($20), Kingdom Hearts HD ($20), and Zelda: A Link Between Worlds ($35).  I know not massive savings on that last one, but I figure it's Zelda and likely won't drop normally any time soon.  Could've had it for $30, but was NOT going to go shopping on Thanksgiving night.  All in all a pretty good haul... *puts all of them in the backlog*  hmm

Crash Nov 30, 2013

My backlog is the reason I didn't look for any games this Black Friday.  I'm still doing work on Diablo III, and have Tomb Raider and Disgaea D2 to tackle after that.  I likely won't have a chance to try any new games until spring, and there's a decent chance that the games I would want would have dropped in price by then (or had Game of the Year editions released).

I got a 3DS XL from Toys 'R' Us on eBay for $145.  I'm still kicking myself for being too slow on the $140 XL from Overstock.com yesterday; it went out of stock while I was checking out.  I would've saved ~$13 on sales tax on top of the $5 lower base price.
