Sunset Overdrive, the upcoming action title from Insomniac Games, hits Xbox One Oct. 28, CEO Ted Price announced during Microsoft's E3 2014 conference.

The game will launch with an 8-player cooperative experience called Chaos Mode. The studio first teased last month that the game will allow people to play cooperatively online. To further aide with replay value, the studio plans to add "lots of updates" and that there's "tons of stuff to find / unlock" in the game.

Sunset Overdrive's single-player campaign focuses on a new energy drink called OverCharge Delirium XT that turns its drinkers into mutants.
