I finally got myself a GBA flash cart and flashed my DS firmware so I'm all good to play homebrew and roms.  I know what domestic games to check out already but I would like a list of good imports as well.  I already have Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, Cooking Mama, and Deep Labyrinth (just for Mitsuda's music, haha).

So what else?

Jump! Super Stars is a game like Super Smash Bros. and is supposed to be a must have for DS owners.

Londonian Gothics: Meikyuu no Lolita

(aren't you being a bit crass, acting this straightforward?)

Cooking Mama and Deep Labyrinth are both coming out in the states.  Though if you're going to steal games instead of pay for them, I hardly suppose it matters...

Haha wow.  Not everyone is made of money and can buy every game in the world, you know.  I like the idea of being able to download a game and try it first before I spend the money on it.  ESPECIALLY import games seing as how they're roughly 60 bucks a piece w/ shipping.  I'm a proud owner of 6 DS games (that's $35 x 6 = $210 spent on DS games) and counting, so piss off.  Besides, being able to run homebrew (NES emulators, movie/music players, Linux, etc.) is awesome.

Oh yeah.. Zaggart, thanks for the actual suggestion.  I'll check it out wink

Could you do me a favor and edit that to something slightly less foul?

Hard to give it a ringing endorsement but it's an improvement at least roll

Ganbare Goemon? Bleach DS? Full Metal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy?

Yes, both the original and revised reply are models of maturity and intelligence.  Way to go, there!  I'm certainly all for the try-before-you-buy model, but the first post in this thread doesn't exactly indicate that as the reasoning, now does it...

In any case!  I thought knowing Deep Labyrinth and Cooking Mama coming to the states would actually be useful in this case.  I can't really say much about a lot of Japan-exclusive games, other than Jump Superstars (most of the JP releases I've bought here have eventually come out in English).  JS is decent, but a lot more fun if you can do it multiplayer - and you'd better have some Japanese knowledge if you want to have any hope of unlocking things.

I would also tentatively endorse Dais' recommendations of Goemon and Bleach, as I've heard nothing but good things about both of them.  I can't understand why Goemon hasn't gotten localized, and Bleach might show up in English eventually if that anime hits it big in the states (kind of like how the GC Naruto games waited a long time before crossing the pond).  Don't forget Band Bros., which all my friends adore but my brain simply can't handle.  Good multiplayer experience if you can do it!
