That's almost exciting, but will it come to North America? Also, why on Earth was DQ VII never released outside Japan?! -I'm talking about the DS version

There's also Dragon Quest Warriors (aka Dynasty Warriors clone) coming up. Also, Square Enix wants to bring DQ VII outside of JP, but can't justify the cost of localization, which is a pity. But then, DS DQ's didn't probably sell as well as SQ wanted and VII is kinda big game to translate from what I've heard.

Isn't that what the "revamped Dragon Quest" bit was referring to?
I watched the conference yesterday, and I only recall them talking about DQ Warriors.

Also, seriously, stop it with the Dynasty Warriors clones already, this is becoming too much.
