Can't think of any other 5-disc OST equivalents or more at the moment, no, but wow.... it's probably a safe assumption that this is as complete as an OST is going to get, as evidenced by even the presence of the short four to seven second ditty tracks. I mean, they even have the "Okami!" title voice at the beginning!
How about that gorgeous packaging, too?
Composers are Capcom/Clover Studios' Masami Ueda and Hiroshi Yamaguchi, T Music's Rei Kondoh, and one Akari Groves. Gave the first disc a listen, and it's very much in the same spirit as the demo music; heavily drenched in traditional Japanese, with lots of koto, taiko drums, Kabuki chants, and wind instruments akin to panflutes and the shinobue. The style of compositions throws out a wide net, from the serene and mystical, to war-torn pulsing battling, doofy and playful, and epic and adventurous. I like how they handled "Kamiki Village," by splitting the two musical parts into two separate tracks that bleed into each other.
I put together a medley sample from a handful of tracks on disc 1, and put it up on YouSendIt, just so people can get a feel of what the music's about. Personally, I'm absolutely delighted with it so far, and it makes waiting for the game all the more painful.
