Legendary electronic/soundtrack artist Edgar W Froese, of Tangerine Dream fame passed away suddenly.  Some of his soundtracks of the early 80s were pioneers in the industry.  Legend had a huge impact on me as a kid, it's still great.  Tangerine Dream also composed  GTA V, apparently. 

I was really into Tangerine Dream in high school/college. I never really got into some of their earlier ambient music, but I was a big fan of the albums from Underwater Sunlight to Rockoon. He will be missed.
