Very exciting.  What immediately stands out to me is how the visual style is much less bleak than that of Fallout 3 / New Vegas.  The sun is shining without the sickly green tint of Fallout 3, the sky is blue, lights are on at night, and everything is more colorful.  I wonder if this shift is meant to signify a turning point.  I may be reading too much into the trailer, but it looks as though civilization is beginning to reestablish itself.  Settlements look more permanent and more populated.

Worst. Kept. Secret. EVER.

Anyway, yeah, I love how it seems to look a lot more colorful than the previous entries, although it seems pretty underwhelming graphic-wise.

I just hope it doesn't have a stupid Lv.20 level cap again.

I bought this game because everyone kept saying great things about it and a lot of my friends were playing it.  I hate it.  Absolutely hate it.

Fallout 1 and 2 were infinitely superior to 3 and 34 if you ask me.

New Vegas came about as close as it gets to the originals.

I spent untold hours on Fallouts 1-3 and New Vegas but am finding 4 to be a dreadful slog.  Granted, I'm only 5-6 hours into the game, but something interesting should have happened by now.  Instead, I'm just defending wastelanders, fighting raiders, and playing whack-a-molerat, same as ever.

Contrast this with Fallout 3: As soon as you leave the vault, there's a giant sign pointing to Megaton, which is full of things to do.

And why does every game have to have crafting?

Amazingu Nov 18, 2015

Loved 3, couldn't get into New Vegas.

Fallout 4 seems to be another example of a game getting great reviews on all major sites, but most people I encounter on message boards and Twitter etc. seem to hate it.
I'll wait for it to drop in price, I think.

Exactly the same for me, media and friend hype and I just don't like it. It's nowhere near the level of Skyrim and for next gen games it doesnt deserve to clean the boots of MGSV and The Last of Us.
I will keep playing for a bit longer to see if I develop a passion but to be honest I just find it irritating, dull and boring.

"For the past three weeks, I’ve been pretty obsessed with Fallout 4, Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic role-playing game that was probably the most anticipated game of 2015. While I’ve really loved the game so far, it’s also pretty obvious to me that it’s not even close to being the best game released this year. No, that award goes to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."

Yeah, I mean, it should be obvious by now that The Witcher 3 is going to take all of the GOTY awards this year, starting with the Game Awards yesterday.
A lot of people really don't seem to like Fallout 4...

I'm not so sure. I think for the GOTY awards it could be a close run thing between Bloodborne and Witcher 3. If a had to choose, I'd choose Bloodborne but thats just personal preference.

I don't know... I'll admit that Bloodborne and Souls II have brought attention to their genre, but I can't help but think they're still kind of niche. Witcher 3 probably has broader appeal which may work in its favor.

I think Bloodborne is another good contender, definitely, but TW3 is a friendlier and more orthodox game, so I think it'll do better.
