Sounds similar to Steel Battalion...You lose your save game data if you don't eject from your mech in that game.

I know it's kind of ironic to say this... but this "idea" kind of feels like a pyramid scheme.

I saw someone mention that in one of the many comments I read yesterday.
This whole thing fascinates me, in the same way a train wreck does. It sound utterly horrible, and as many others have said will almost certainly draw a large multitude of trolls who purposefully run up the death counter -- some potentially even getting a refund after a couple hours of doing it...

Well one way to mitigate the troll factor would be to have the population dynamic. If its a static set limit then, yeah, it's going to be a disaster.
