ART OF FIGHTING "Ryuuko no Ken" (yes, redundant!) Gaiden Arrange Sound Trax.

It's been on my want list for probably 7 or 8 years now and I think I officially screwed up in dragging ass too many years. Actually, I messaged a user about 4 years ago on VGMdb who hasn't signed on in about 3,000 days so he probably never got my message wanting to grab it at $15. Anyho, this one's probably one of the rarest SNK albums out there -- I next to never see it on auction circuits.

Just one year, prices have jumped from around 7,000 yen to now 24,000 yen. Outstanding jazz-rock/latin arranges from members of Source (fusion band) and Orquesta del Sol with said members having lent support on many other VGM arrange albums. The rest of it Is ho-hum drama segments that should have been left for another throw-away SNK drama disc.

Anyone have it?

*If anyone does, I would pay for postage and a 1:1 CD-R as I really want a high-quality copy

That one? Art of Fighting 3? Yeah, I own that guy. When I first started collection VGM I made it my mission to grab all relevant fighting game soundtracks especially the SNK arrange guys. The Shinsekai Gakkyoku Zatsugidan is one of my favorite arrange groups. Unfortunately after 2001 the quality of arrange tracks kind of died off.

In anycase ever play the game? Its hard as hell. With that being said I have this disc in storage until I decide to rerip my whole collection when hard drives are cheap and enormous.

I don't know why but I never really got into fighting game soundtracks and I just did not like any of the KoF stuff I've ever heard.  I played *some* fighting games growing up (SFII, MK, MKII, X-Men vs. SF, even Bushido Blade) so I'm not completely foreign to them but most of them just ... aren't memorable.  SFII being the only real, notable exception for me.

Unless FuryofFrog wants to do it, I can send you a CD-R. I kept one of the original I owned about 13 years ago.

I remember it wasn't as impressive as Art of Fighting 2 overall (due to the inclusion of annoying drama tracks), but it did have some excellent arrangements.

Go for it man. I'd do it myself but my copy is pretty buried at the moment.

Hopefully some AoF3 chars make it into KoF 14 big_smile

Thanks for the offers, gents.

Though it should be known that Shinsekai Gakkyoku Zatsugidan (mostly SNK's in-house sound group) wasn't involved on all the SNK albums but instead had a flurry of different arrangers and performers who sculpted the "Arrange" sound of SNK's many projects. This album's bandplay was mostly arranged by Ken Morimura, a latin-jazz keyboardist whose resume reflects a lot of said projects.
