I've been going through my CDs - trying to figure out what is staying and going - and for some reason I hesitated when I got to Dookie by Green Day.

As I looked at the back cover I couldn't help but feel something was missing. One google image search later I got my answer:

The Ernie puppet (of SS fame) the guy looking at the camera was wearing was completely taken out. I really have no questions as to why... but damn... I knew SOMETHING was missing!

Does anyone else know of any discs where something was taken out of the photographic content?

One of the others I can think of is how Neil Young's 1988 album was credited to "Neil Young & The Bluenotes" but was changed just to "Neil Young" on reprints because someone else had "Bluenotes" trademarked.

After a certain year, the self titled debut album from The Offspring omitted the last track called "Kill the President".

I remember the band Green Jellö ended up changing their name to Green Jellÿ, presumably because of a trademark on Jell-O. While they also changed the name of their theme song to accommodate the name change, they did not change the lyrics (which involved repeated instances of "Green Jellö sucks").

Jimmy Eat World changed the name of their 4th album from "Bleed American" to "Jimmy Eat World" after the 9/11 attacks.

I can't believe I forgot about this one. I remember back when this occurred.

I remember a friend explaining that to me at lunch one day in high school. It's funny how we're talking about this like it's some important event. Where were you when Green Jello changed their name?
