Has anyone else played AM2R, the recently released fan remake of Metroid II? I finished it a few days ago and, I have to say, it's utterly fantastic and every bit as good as a Nintendo-developed 2D Metroid game.

I watched some video of this. I should probably play it since I love the original as much as I do (it was my first Metroid game) but I don't have a viable controller at the moment.

You don't 'have' to use controller, but of course unless you regularly play platformers with keyboard (and some people do), it's a lot better.

As for me? I downloaded it within two minutes of the links going live and regularly chat on the Discord dedicated to speedrunning it:P
