Yeah, I have a few friends that like Game Grumps and I don't understand it at all. I don't mind Jon Tron's solo stuff at all but GGs doesn't appeal to me at all, much like the vast majority of Rooster Teeth's stuff.

Well, John Tron was in the earliest episodes from 2012–13. When he moved away from where he was living he left the show and Dan Avidan took his place. The other half of the duo is Arin Hanson, who is better known as Egoraptor and had been big on YouTube prior to GameGrumps for many game-related videos.
But yeah, I generally like JohnTron and Egoraptor's solo stuff but GameGrumps never took off with me.
Hah, it's funny you should mention that because these are literally the ONLY Let's Players on the planet I enjoy watching, to the extent I actually binge-watch a lot of their stuff. I think they're hilarious (but not every single video is a hit, obviously).
I only ever watch the ones with Arin and Dan though, the other guys are boring, and I can't STAND JonTron.

Game Grumps is bloody hilarious. Arin is god-tier. I love Jontron, but Dan's great too.

Tony and his buddies give the viewer the feeling they're welcome to join in for exploratory game nights (and much appreciation for the 64DD recaptures my mystique from it being out in Japan in 1999) and the fun that ensues. That theme song kills me everytime.
