I've been checking out some fighting game soundtracks lately and been finding some good stuff:
Mortal Kombat (GEN)
- forgot how iconic this sounded (SNES audio was disappointing IMO)
Mortal Kombat II (SNES)
- big leap over how the first game sounded on the SNES
Mortal Kombat III (SNES)
- I talked about this one earlier
AND
Primal Rage (SNES)
- this game completely blows but I forgot that the music is pretty good.
The funny thing is I checked out the disc releases for all these and I honestly like the game rips more. Again, the SNES sound chip is damn fine so that's not a surprise, but at least I won't have to shell out for any expensive, OOP discs.
I also like Street Fighter Alpha 2 on the SNES, but considering I've talked about that one already as well I'm alone on that one.
