Turns out that recording session I tweeted about that Yasunori Mitsuda & co. held with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra was for the long-awaited Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross orchestral albums after all.

Chrono Trigger Orchestral Arrangement album and Chrono Cross Orchestral Arrangement album are due 2019/9/4. Both CDs are 8 tracks and go for 3300 yen, and will also be available on Chrono Orchestral Arrangement Box, which in addition includes a 4 track bonus CD and goes for 8000 yen.

Chrono Orchestra concerts have also been announced, for 2019/9/7 in Osaka and 2019/10/27 in Tokyo, with two shows on each date. Tickets went up for pre-order via the Square Enix Japan e-store July 4, then go on general pre-order July 16 and regular sale July 30.

Super excited!   ...then again, I was super excited about the last Chrono arranged CD and largely disliked it, soooo let's hope I like this one quite a bit better.
