No DVD or game releases to the best of my knowledge, unless Xbox Live Arcade gets Frogger or something else worthwhile.  Perhaps I might get Dead Man's Chest OST, but I'll probably end up buying it digitally or finding a torrent instead.

Not much...The Valkyrie Profile CD's and Legend of Heroes VI SC are givens though (although hopefully the VP volumes aren't divided into the orchestral and rock sides, like SO3 was).

Interestingly, LoH VI SC's OST was leaked about a week ago and was up on VGMCentral. Very good mix of rock and theme variations on the first game's 1-2 main themes that were in the first one. A strong overall release.

Gamewise, Summon Night is a given. Pac Man World Rally and the new DS Bubble Bobble are curiosities.

Tamiya Terashima's soundtrack and songbook to the new Ghibli movie (Gedo Senki).
Wizardry Box set mmm

That's probably it.

I'll certainly keep those VP CDs in mind. But what I REALLY want is the Animaniacs DVD set. smile

Nothing here for me, at least on the buying front. Then again, I hadn't bought a game soundtrack for three years until I picked up DoC and FF12...

Alas, the fabled summer lull is upon us, and therefore, not too much on the immediate horizon.  The Dead Man's Chest Soundtrack is a doubly-must, though I'm still considering Dancemania's Anime Speed Newtype Edition.  For games, maybe Summon Night, just to give me an excuse to recharge my SP again.

And, this is the first time I've ever done this, but today I bought movie tickets online.  Pretty neat to just be able to print them out, and head straight to the ticket-taker.   The tickets are for Dead Man's Chest, of course: Friday of the 7th, 6:45pm.

Well, I've been seriously considering buying an Xbox 360, so I could possibly buy a video game this month (assuming I buy the system).  That game would, of course, be PREY.

I have had some play time on a 360, since one of my friends owns one. There are serious problems, but they rarely occur. These are the problems my friend has experienced....

1. Oblivion 4 freezes from time to time. Requires a system restart. Game does look amazing, however.
2. Perfect Dark Zero is very glitchy; it does not run smooth. On 720p or 1080i - makes no difference.

He own a third game, Tomb Raider Legend, and it runs perfectly. So, we've concluded that the Xbox 360 is fine. It's just that some games weren't made properly.

I did order 4 DVD's this month, buy they are older releases, from South Korea.

I'm not buying any cd's this month.

Not a loser like me who and going to the midnight showing?

I got a 360 last month with my birthday money and have enjoyed it fairly well---I've not had any problems with Burnout Revenge or Hitman: Blood Money, nor the Gamefly-rented and scratched to hell Call of Duty 2 or Dead or Alive 4.  Well, there was one problem with DoA4; it sucked shit.  I've tried the backwards compatibility only with Fable:TLC and it worked fine too.  I still hope JSRF will be added to the bclist.

The Prey demo was released yesterday on the Marketplace and I found it to be not remotely fun; although squirting soap in the floor was quite humorous and the blackjack machine was awfully too kind.

Hardcore!  I may have considered the midnight showing if I didn't have an early work morning.  As it is, I'm likely to enjoy the film more when I'm awake and coherent. *_*

I think the last time I caught a midnight showing was for the South Park movie.  After, we rushed on over to the nearest Wal-Mart to pick up the soundtrack.  Good times indeed.

I tried the PC demo of "Prey" and there wasn't much to separate it from other FPSs. Worse yet, the cultural stuff was about as subtle as a sledgehammer and the gameplay was surprisingly lame. Of course, I had just come from completing HL2 and there aren't many games that could come close to that experience...

There isn't really anything interesting on the July charts, but that's OK - June gave me plenty. Also, I lost a bet with a guy at work that he couldn't find me a copy of Dawn of Sorrow in 20 miles. He'll be bringing it in when we both work again (4th of July, I think). I have a feeling that's going to be some of the best crow I ever ate.

Ah, that South Park: BLU soundtrack is nice.  As for late-night early showings, I seem to be quite partial to them since Revenge of the Sith as this would be my third for the year---I saw X-Men: Last Stand at midnight and just last week the 10pm Superman Returns showing.  I can't figure out why anyone would take children to a 10pm showing of a 2 and a half hour movie, since the kid behind me fell asleep during the movie---he must've spent all his energy being all excited for the Spider-Man 3 trailer.  The only other movies I saw in theaters this year were Silent Hill and The Omen.  I probably would have went to the Silent Hill midnight early showing if it had one and depending on work and school at the time, but not so for The Omen.

Really? That doesn't sound encouraging. However, my interest in Prey is due to the fact it looks very similar to Turok Dinosaur Hunter. I know I'm in a minority, but Turok was one of my best gaming experiences. The same can not be said of Turok 2 because of the ridiculous amount of backtracking. Turok 3 was glitched, so it was a different kind of experience.
